About The Engine
Gyr-OS is a state-of-the-art spatial audio synthesizer. It maps physical hardware sensor data (accelerometer, gyroscope) and traditional inputs (mouse/touch) directly into an interactive 3D musical space.
Key Features & Upgrades (V10.1)
- Global Silence/Resume Memory: The [SILENCE] button pauses all synth and custom audio pads, saving their exact microsecond buffer playback position. [RESUME] perfectly picks up where you left off.
- Independent Audio Pads: Drop any
.wav or .mp3 onto the screen. Pads have their own Audio Bus, bypassing Master Mutes. They are fully draggable in "EDIT" mode.
- Advanced Recording Engine: Record via immediate start, Decibel Threshold, Custom Timer, or a 4-Beat Metronome Click Track.
- True 3D Pointer Offsets: Fine-tune your pointer tracking with X/Y coordinate offsets and smoothing, ensuring 1:1 tracking without covering your target.
- Proprietary Haptics: Utilizing Tim Tesner's formula
navigator.vibrate(Math.trunc(swingForce * 10 / 2)) for dynamic, responsive screen strikes.
Technology Stack
- Tone.js: Web Audio API wrapper governing DSP, limiters, polyphony, and buffer states.
- Three.js: Hardware-accelerated WebGL 3D raycasting and coordinate mapping.
- Tonal.js: Musical theory calculations.
- dat.GUI: Modular variable injection.
"Music is the space between the notes. Gyr-OS lets you physically touch that space."
